It’s so easy to think that when we look around us on a daily basis that body shapes all look the same and that looking healthy is all about vanity. Of late I have been questioning what does body confidence mean? Is it all about having a poster girl image or is it all about how you feel about yourself. Imagine slipping on your favourite dress or outfit and feeling sexy and healthy within your own skin. How empowering would that be? Looking at yourself in the mirror and saying kind, beautiful supportive words of love and kindness to your body. As opposed to focusing on what you don’t have and feeling like you are not enough as you are.
Imagine walking into a room and owning your femininity and celebrating every curve, contour and line on your body. In my opinion health and wellbeing is all about taking care of yourself and nourishing your body with food and love. Respecting that your body is your body and it is a masterpiece. Every single body is different and every single body has a different body shape. I am turning down the outside noise and listening to the sound of my own body and what my body wants and needs. Body confidence is so much more than vanity. You can have the best physical body and still lack confidence in owning your body. Let’s celebrate our bodies; lets think about what our bodies want and what our bodies need. Become in flow with the contours of your body, embrace your sensuality and celebrate your body for the miracle it is. Beauty comes in different shapes and sizes lets remember that.
