How do you take time for you and nourish you? You probably say, “I don’t”. Well, I didn’t and now I do. And… I have discovered that it is an essential part of my daily routine and is essential for my soul, spirit and mental wellbeing.
After spending more than 24 years in the wellness and beauty industry, I have more than enough knowledge to share, on how to create that sanctuary of peace for yourself in your own home.
Life is busy and wont stop being busy, but if you can factor in a daily coffee, a gander on social media for 20 minutes, you CAN take the time to nourish your inner being and therefore keep your sanity.
I started with 3 simple things, a tea light candle, essential oils (Sandalwood & Mandarin to be exact, together they are grounding, calming, add sparkle to your mood, great for adults and children to balance and relax prior to bedtime) and an oil burner. These 3 things united, brought me to a space of quiet focus on me. I welcomed it and felt so nourished, that I have continued for the last 4 months to do this before I go to bed each night. (Give or take a few nights here and there, let’s be real about it, sometimes things just don’t work out!!:)
This is easy to do, you can light your oil burner with your favorite oils whilst you do some meditation, light yoga moves, conscious breathing, writing in your journal, colouring in, do something that you love to do, anything that nourishes your inner being. Make time for you, you are worth it. Everyone will love you for it and you will love you more too!
