Life can get busy, juggling so many balls up in the air all at once. As parents, caregivers and nurturers we often put ourselves last on our list of priorities. Making sure everyone around us is well cared for and looked after. We often feel guilty for taking time out to look after our own wellbeing mind, body and soul. We feel exhausted, tired and fatigued often crashing at breaking point or lying awake thinking about our responsibilities and commitments we have to accomplish. Ultimately becoming irritable, frustrated and snappy.
Over the past few years I have neglected my health resulting in a 13kg weight gain. Due to making bad food choices and a lack of exercise. For me it’s not about reaching a certain weight it’s about feeling comfortable and confident in my body. It’s about having mental clarity, vitality and positive energy. I love my curves and I never want to lose them, they make me feel like a real woman. I love my fuller, curvier hourglass bodyshape.
So here I am today on a journey to losing these extra kilos I have gained along the way and loving the road ahead. A few weeks ago (4 weeks to be exact) I embarked on a conscious journey to feeling good and positive about myself. I looked at myself in the mirror with love and light realising that I wasn’t being kind to my mind, body and soul.
Today I have weighed in 2.4 kilos lighter and I feel amazing. Becoming awake, aware and in flow with your body and what your body wants is a beautiful awakening indeed. You deserve to feel good about yourself when you invest in your wellbeing and mental health you have abundant energy. Your radiant energy will not only have a positive effect on yourself but your loved ones will feel it to.
